We have finally done it! Everything is where it should be and we said our goodbyes and we have left California behind! Sunday we finished packing up and cleaning, I could not have made it through without my wonderful friends Susan and Cesiah. I got slammed with a fever and miserable head/neck ache that day and they came to my rescue! And the Morris family took us in that night and cared for us. We left MBA and the coast at noon on Monday.
It really doesn't feel like we have left it behind. MBA is our home, whether we are there or not. It feels like we are just going on a vacation, yes, an extended vacation, but we will always end up back there at some point! Whether or not to live and work, I don't know. But at least a wonderful visit!
We stopped off in Visalia and interrupted my dad's class to say goodbye and get his storage key. He is a great guy! Then we met my mom at the storage place and emptied out the van of the rest of our stuff, ate some dinner she brought us and headed down to Bakersfield. We stayed there Tuesday, getting some last, last things done. Packed up the car this morning and left for good around noon. I took some pictures of the car to post, but I left the camera in the car and I don't want to go get it. I'll post them later!
We are now in Cedar City, Utah and ready for bed. As I am typing this, Rob is begging me to put the computer away so he can lay on his left side...I just smile!
So goodnight! Please pray that our bikes are not stolen from the car racks. And that our car makes it with the heavy load we have. Thanks!
Glad to see you made it! Have a safe rest of the trip :)
