I am SO blessed to be here. It is an amazingly beautiful day here today and we are planning to be out in the garden ALL day!
We went on a hike yesterday to Harney Peak, the tallest point in South Dakota. We went with some new friends and had a great time. Brody hiked the whole way by himself and was having fun with Jocelyn, 10 years, his new friend.
I just walked up from the garden (had already been down there for almost 2 hours) to get water and hats and I was struck again with the beauty and peacefulness that this place has. The weather is just about perfect and the colors are all so bright and it is so quiet, except for the crickets. I wanted to lay down and just enjoy it. But I have to get back down to the farm because I left Brody and Jovie down there. And we are getting ready to plant the squash this morning.
I would recommend a trip out here to anyone. Especially if you want to participate in the health retreat. It is so beautiful and peaceful here your body, mind and spirit would be so happy! Or come out as a farm volunteer. Spend a couple weeks out on the farm! It is very therapeutic!
Anyways, just had to get that off my chest. I promise I will post again. I have just been pretty busy, with the beautiful weather and all! It finally stopped raining!
